October 2025 – Embraco and FIR, two leading brands of Nidec Global Appliance (GA), will make their debut at Host Milano 2025, in Italy, sharing a booth (number T45 U46 at Pavilion 2) from October 17 to 21. Their joint presence at one of the world’s most influential trade shows for food service, hospitality, and catering underscores a strategic focus on connecting directly with the final markets of its products.
One of the highlights of the joint exhibit is the launch of Embraco’s new Scroll compressors line, alongside Bioma+, the new and more versatile generation of its most silent condensing unit for cold rooms. FIR will simultaneously unveil a new brand identity while highlighting its BPM Motor for professional ovens, a core component for high-speed, energy-efficient cooking.
According to Alberto Casnati, Nidec GA President, this integrated presence is a unique opportunity to show that Embraco and FIR are essential technology brands that equip professional kitchen appliances all over the world, delivering high performance, energy savings and quiet operation with sustainable solutions. “We go beyond supplying components to manufacturers: through an integrated approach, we co-develop tailored solutions that address technical, regulatory, and innovation challenges, creating tangible value for end users in sectors such as restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and bakeries”, he emphasizes.
FIR: high-performance and tailor-made solutions
FIR brand is focused on presenting solutions marked by customization, technological advancements, and high energy efficiency. A summary of those drivers is the BPM (Brushless Permanent Magnet) Motor, allowing variable speed during its operation for professional and industrial ovens. Engineered for optimal ventilation performance, it enables rapid cooking while ensuring energy efficiency. FIR’s BPM Motor adjusts its speed based on demand, guided by an electronic control device. Its core strengths – integrated electronics, energy efficiency and controlled performance – align with the industry’s shift toward sustainable solutions. “As commercial ovens advance in their pursuit of faster cooking and optimal performance, BPM motors stand out as the ideal solution, offering unmatched versatility while maximizing energy efficiency”, states Alberto Casnati.

Leveraging Host Milano’s dedicated coffee and tea special section, FIR showcases its specialized Food Processor Motor for coffee grinders. Produced with the finest mechanical machining of its parts, to ensure optimal coffee coarseness and preserve the natural aroma, the motor also stands out for its low noise operation, enhancing the user experience in professional environments. Finally, the brand is also presenting at Host its Warewash PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) Pump, a compact, energy-efficient solution for professional dishwashers, delivering optimized hydraulic performance for reliable operation.

New brand identity
Host Milano 2025 was also the chosen stage for FIR’s rebranding’s first public appearance. The brand now features a new logo that reflects its core attributes of performance, precision, and reliability. “FIR, a trusted name in the foodservice industry, is entering a new era under Nidec Global Appliance. More than preserving its tradition, FIR is now positioned to offer even more, combining its proven expertise in customized, high-performance solutions with GA’s global scale. With its refreshed branding, centered on ‘Global Reach and Tailored Fit’, FIR is ready to deliver innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of customers worldwide”, says Casnati.
New Embraco scroll compressors’ portfolio first appearance in Europe
Host Milano also serves as the first European event where Embraco is displaying its new Scroll compressors portfolio, following the acquisition of the Chinese scroll compressors manufacturer Xecom in July 2025. This new lineup extends Embraco’s capabilities to the heating and air conditioning (HVAC) markets while broadening its presence in the refrigeration segment, solidifying its position as a complete solutions provider. “In the food service segment, our expanded portfolio delivers tailored solutions for the most critical storage applications: from large cold rooms to milk cooling tanks and ice-making machines, ensuring reliability and performance where it matters most”, explains the executive.

New generation of Embraco’s most silent condensing unit
Embraco presents at Host its main solutions for food service, with a focus on better food preservation, lower energy consumption, and compliance with European sustainability regulations. One of the highlights is the launch of Bioma+, the new generation of Embraco’s most silent condensing unit for cold rooms, which are very common facilities in restaurants and other food service establishments to store refrigerated or frozen food.

The main new feature in Bioma+ is versatility, because it supports multiple refrigerants, including A2Ls R454C and R455A, which are low-GWP (global warming potential) alternatives that enable compliance with current and future environmental and safety regulations in Europe. Being part of Embraco’s portfolio since 2019, the Bioma lineup is a product portfolio marked by a design that absorbs vibrations, making it the most silent solution in its category of product on the market, with noise levels from 29 to 36 dB(A) depending on the housing.
Technologies for better food preservation and energy savings
The booth will also present Embraco’s Sync it All portfolio, which is composed of the Embraco Air fan, the Embraco Sync controller, and the YouControl development interface, all integrated with Embraco variable-speed compressors. “This cohesive ecosystem is designed for food retail and food service refrigeration equipment, including but not limited to bottle coolers and professional kitchen refrigerators and freezers. It provides integrated, added-value solutions for our business partners by enhancing cooling performance, reducing energy consumption, and simplifying component configuration”, Casnati concludes.
