Embraco strengthens its presence in China through major trade shows

The brand will showcase its shift toward integrated electronics and launch high-efficiency portfolios at AWE, Hotelex, and CRH 2026

March 2026 – Between March 12 and April 10, Embraco, a global brand of solutions for refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning and part of Nidec Global Appliance (GA), will participate in three major events in China that reinforce its strategic presence in the country and the Asia-Pacific region (APA). AWE in Shanghai from March 12-15, Hotelex, also in Shanghai, from March 30 to April 2, and CRH in Beijing from April 8-10 will serve as platforms for showcasing a comprehensive portfolio for refrigeration appliances and the HVAC&R sector as a whole, and as the stage for the launch of strategic solutions.

At AWE 2026, Embraco advances in the electronics field

At the Appliance and Electronics World Expo (AWE), Embraco will highlight its evolution towards becoming a systems provider. The centerpiece will be the Integrated Control Boards (ICBs), devices that control not only the compressor but also the entire refrigerator. Embraco is the first compressor brand to insource the ICB’s manufacturing process – a domain previously exclusive to appliance or electronics manufacturers.

“The purchase of bare compressors with ICBs is rapidly developing, as an alternative to using a compressor controlled by an inverter device and a control board for the other appliance parts,” explains Alessandro Durante, Vice-President for Home Appliances at Nidec GA. “We are able to be part of this evolution because we have manufactured our own inverters for years. And our new Qingdao factory, inaugurated last year, has effectively become an electronics hub for Nidec Global Appliance,” he adds.

Embraco will also bring to AWE 2026 the VESJ compressor prototype. The fifth generation of the flagship VES compressors family is being designed to be a market benchmark in low noise and energy efficiency, supporting manufacturers in achieving “A-level” ratings in strict regulatory standards worldwide.

Embraco will share the booth at AWE with Nidec’s portfolio of motors for kitchen and laundry appliances. For washing machines, the highlight will be the highly energy-efficient BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor, now in an overmoulded design, making it more compact and silent. Another highlight is the launch of the Direct Drive motor DD124 Gen 3, further extending Nidec’s line-up of solutions for washers. For dishwashers, Nidec underscores its integrated system: motor, heater, and electronic board in one compact and energy-efficient solution. For dryers, the brand will launch the BLDC Gen 2.5 motor with a redesigned magnetic core and innovative endshield, bringing lighter weight and improved performance.

Hotelex and CRH: innovations for commercial refrigeration and HVAC

At Hotelex and CRH, Embraco brings to China its global launches as well as new solutions produced in the country, such as:

Sync It All Pro. It is the second generation of the Sync It All portfolio of integrated electronic components, including: the new Embraco Sync Pro controller, which can now manage up to 16 components; the Embraco Flow Pro fan pack with variable-speed technology and proprietary blade design for improved airflow; and the updated YouControl software with auto-tuning features, reducing development time from weeks to days.

VEHD. The second generation of the VEH variable-speed compressors family offers a 15% increase in energy efficiency compared to previous models of the same platform. Versatile, it is suitable for applications ranging from merchandisers to food service refrigeration equipment.

VLT and FMS launch with local production. During the events, Embraco will also launch in China the FMS and VLT compressors, the first using refrigerant R600a for home appliances and wine coolers, and the other in R290 for compact commercial applications. Both are compact variable-speed (inverter) compressors – ranging from 123 to 131 millimeters high – with bivolt and bi-frequency inverters, combining high energy efficiency, low noise, and cooling performance equivalent to bigger fixed-speed compressors’ displacements, which means high cooling capacity in a frame-breaker compressor. The two lines are going to be manufactured in China from April 2026 on.

Scroll portfolio debut. At CRH, Embraco will display for the first time in China its new scroll compressors portfolio, which was launched in July 2025 and has extended the brand’s reach into the heating and air-conditioning segments and broadened its presence in refrigeration. With capacities ranging from 1.2 HP to 35 HP, the lineup is multi-refrigerant and caters to applications such as cold rooms, heat pumps, rooftop chillers, packaged units, and central ducted home air conditioners.

The FIR brand, also part of the Nidec Global Appliance portfolio, will share Embraco’s booth at Hotelex, displaying a range of motors and pumps for food service equipment, with a highlight on its newly launched variable-speed motor for professional ovens, enabling optimal ventilation performance and rapid cooking while ensuring high energy efficiency.
