Embraco Debuts New Scroll Portfolio for HVAC&R at AHR Expo Mexico Alongside Latest Innovations

The event will be the first public appearance in the region of the new portfolio that is enabling Embraco’s entrance into the heating and air-conditioning segments

August 30th, 2025 – Embraco, a Nidec Global Appliance brand and a global provider of refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning solutions, will unveil its new scroll compressors portfolio for the first time in North America, alongside its latest innovations for commercial refrigeration, at AHR Expo Mexico 2025, from September 23 to 25. After the acquisition of scroll manufacturer Xecom by Nidec Global Appliance, the new scroll lineup is enabling Embraco’s strategic entry into the heating and air-conditioning segments and significantly broadening its capabilities in refrigeration.

At this event, which will be at CINTERMEX, Monterrey, the brand will participate with two booths, numbers 2719 and 437. The new scroll portfolio will be presented at booth 437, where visitors will be able to know more about the lineup’s range of applications, such as cold rooms, heat pumps, rooftop chillers, packaged units, and central ducted home air conditioners, with capacities from 1.2 HP to 35 HP.

One-Stop Partner for Refrigeration Solutions

Embraco will also reinforce its position as a full-range provider of commercial refrigeration solutions at its second booth (2719). The company will showcase its latest innovations in compressors, condensing units, and electronic components.

Highlights for the commercial refrigeration segment include:

• Launch of VLT compressors.  A variable-speed (inverter) compressor for commercial refrigerators and freezers. Compact – it is only 123 millimeters high – and with a bivolt and bi-frequency inverter, the model combines high energy efficiency, low noise, and cooling performance equivalent to bigger compressors, which means high cooling capacity in a frame-breaker compressor.
• Embraco Sync it All. The brand’s recently launched integrated portfolio features the Embraco Sync controller, the Embraco Air fan, the YouControl development interface (software), and Embraco variable speed compressors, working in synchrony to optimize the refrigeration system’s performance, save energy, and accelerate the customer’s product development process. 
• EMR Compressors. A compact, robust, and easy-to-install solution for the aftermarket, the EMR is designed to be the standard replacement for multiple fixed-speed models, simplifying inventory and making technicians’ lives easier in the field.
• EDP condensing units. A cooling solution specially designed for reach-in and under-counter applications in the food service segment, it is among the most compact on the market, starting at just 10.4 inches high. Featuring a removable evaporative drain pan, and a hot loop for efficient defrost water evaporation, this solution helps eliminate common draining issues.

Local Production: Fast, Reliable Service

Embraco will also highlight at AHR Expo Mexico its local manufacturing presence in the country. The Nidec Global Appliance facility in Apodaca manufactures compressors, electronically commutated fans, and the EDP (evaporative drain pan) condensing units, all under the Embraco brand. “Local production is a key differentiator for Embraco, reducing lead times and boosting responsiveness to the aftermarket and manufacturers’ needs”, explains Moreira.
