This year, Embraco’s presence at Chillventa - one of the world’s leading events in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration sectors from October 13 to 15 - is designed to demonstrate its evolution from a refrigeration brand into a comprehensive HVAC&R solutions provider. Visitors to hall 4 booth 145 of the Nürnberg Messe, in Germany, will see firsthand the recently launched Embraco Scroll compressors portfolio, which caters to the heating and air-conditioning sectors, as well as refrigeration.
In addition, Embraco, a global brand part of the Nidec Global Appliance (GA) platform, reaffirms at the event its deep expertise in refrigeration with the Sync it All Pro ecosystem in action: a functioning reach-in cooler powered by a sealed unit demonstrates the seamless integration among Embraco’s variable-speed compressor, fan, controller and development software. In the booth, it will also be possible to check real case studies on Sync it All Pro, showcasing energy savings of up to 30%. Other Embraco highlights in the event are the multi-refrigerant Bioma+ condensing unit for cold rooms, and new R290 variable-speed compressors VLT and VEHD.
“At Chillventa, we are positioning Nidec as a strategic partner for the whole HVAC&R industry in the mission to build a more sustainable, connected, and highly energy-efficient future,” highlights Nidec GA President, Ricardo Bristotti.
Scroll compressors: from refrigeration to heating and air conditioning
The Embraco Scroll compressors lineup includes solutions for commercial and residential applications in refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning, such as cold rooms, air-to-water heat pumps, rooftop chillers, packaged units, and central ducted air conditioners. It ranges from 1.2 to 35 HP (or tons) of capacity and supports multiple refrigerants, including R410A, R404A, as well as the future low-GWP options: A2Ls and R290.
At Chillventa, one of the highlights will be the newly launched Embraco Pulse, featuring digital capacity modulation, with precise control from 10% to 100% capacity. Ranging from 2 HP to 15 HP, the Pulse serves both the refrigeration and heating segments, in applications such as remote condensing units for multideck cabinets and cold rooms, and space heating.
Sync it All Pro: a new generation of integrated components
Sync it All Pro is the evolution of Embraco's Sync it All concept: a portfolio of components developed to work in synchrony to facilitate the customer’s product development process, optimize the cooling equipment’s performance and reduce energy consumption.
The Pro generation brings significant advancements in capacity and functionality. The Embraco Sync Pro controller manages up to 16 components, including 12 with variable speed (compressors and/or fan motors). The Embraco Flow Pro fan pack features a variable-speed motor that dynamically adjusts its operation to the application demands, combined with a proprietary blade design to improve airflow. The latest version of the YouControl software brings an auto-tuning tool to help engineers define optimal operating parameters in days rather than weeks. And the Inverter Pro integrates variable-speed compressors seamlessly with the whole ecosystem.
“The concept behind the Sync it All portfolios is that, by integrating the controller, fans and compressors into a single operating logic and single configuration tool, we deliver greater energy efficiency and more stable temperatures, with a much simpler set-up for the customer,” explains André Rosa, Commercial Appliances Vice-President at Nidec GA. “The Pro generation represents a step forward in it, reaching more complex or larger refrigeration systems, and achieving up to 30% energy savings,” he adds.
Expanded compressors and condensing units portfolios
Embraco will also highlight its continued innovation in low-GWP solutions, such as Bioma+, the new generation of Embraco's quietest condensing unit for cold rooms. The main new feature is the compatibility with multiple refrigerants, including the A2Ls R454C and R455A. It also features a housing engineered with a fan diffuser, keeping noise levels between 29 and 36 dB(A), depending on the model.
At the booth, visitors will also see a robust range of natural refrigerant (R290) compressors for light commercial applications, led by the VLT, a compact, dual-voltage variable-speed series that delivers the cooling power of larger fixed-speed models in a frame just 123 to 131 mm tall.
Other highlight is the VEHD, a versatile variable-speed lineup serving everything from merchandisers to food service equipment with 15% greater energy efficiency than its predecessor. Rounding up the compressors corner, the high-capacity NE, NT, and NJ are fixed-speed compressors families engineered for maximum energy efficiency in high cooling capacities, up to 2 HP.
