INFORMATIONS AT YOUR REACH

The compressor labels and it’s nomenclature, have very useful details.

Many simple questions from refrigerator and resale professionals, can be solved by simply referring to the compressor label or understanding what the letters and numbers in the name assigned to each model (their nomenclature) mean.

The various label information, detailed in the image below, are essential for choosing the right model for your intended use and help prevent errors which can have serious consequences for the compressor and the system in which it is applied.

It is enough to be aware of the existing basic information:

• The model of the compressor;

• Tension;

• Frequency;

• Number of phases in which it works;

• Coolant for what it was designed for;

• The current of the blocked rotor.

In the case of Embraco Fullmotion compressors, there is also information about the type of oil used and its quantity, as well as a warning about the fact that it should not be turned on without a starter device.

Nomenclature

As with examining labels, you just have to know how to “read” the names of each compressor model to get important information about it:

• Family to which is belongs;

• Generation of technology in which it was produced;

• Type of mechanical kit used;

• Capacity in Btu/h;

• Coolant used;

• Efficiency level (information available just for some families);

• Application;

• Starter device used;

• Start Torque (information available just for some families).

EMYS 60HEP (EM family) and FFUS 100HAK (F family) compressors show how this information is available, and can be easily found in its nomenclatures.

On the Clube website, you will find such a figure for the NE/NT/NJ family, which has some minor differences from these two, such as information on whether or not the IPR valve is used, and the cooling capacity.
