The 2011 Sustainability Report, which was previously issued in a printed version, will be, from this edition, only be available as an online version. This is a significant change that reflects our concern in reducing the consumption of paper and the impacts caused by the dispatch and the shipping of the material. The publication provides the account of the strategic initiatives that marked our sustainability practices during 2010. These practices demonstrate our quest to provide innovative solutions that anticipate future needs.

Embraco presents in its Sustainability reports the strategies and actions of its sustainability path in 2009.
The report contains information, data and stories which demonstrate the company’s economic, environmental and social performance in all its plants, laboratories and corporate areas.In its eighth edition, the Embraco Sustainability Report - for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2009 - sought to meet the directives established by the third generation of the Sustainability Report Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI G3), in presenting the company profile, followed by themes that stood out in the economic, environmental and social scope.

“Building a better day-to-day life” was the chosen subject for our yearly Sustainability Report in 2008. Our report follows the guidelines set by GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the main international standard for presentation of corporate sustainability. It also reiterates our compliance with the 10 principles of the Global Pact, a UN initiative, of which Embraco is a participant since 2004. The Sustainability Report was distributed to clients, suppliers, government, private companies, entities and to the press, among other stakeholders.

"Responsibility provides the future” was the theme that guided the preparation of the 2008 Sustainability Report of Embraco, related to year 2007. The document records the advances made by the organization, showing the legacy that Embraco wishes to leave- that of a responsible company, with employees committed to acting responsibly.

"Our path in a transforming world” was the recurring motif of Embraco’s 2007 Sustainability Report. The document records the advances obtained by the organization, the consolidation of the social responsibility strategy, and indicates the path of our journey towards the future.
